Welcome to my Art Kite Gallery. Included here are just a sampling of the kites I've designed and made over the past 15 years. Just about any subject or graphic can be rendered to appliqué. My initial philosophy, or vision, was to perform a marriage between the performance of a multi line kite and the art of a single line kite.

My art kites feature fully appliqued graphics created by a technique called "relief cutting". Layers of cloth, representing each color are layered and sewn together following a detailed drawing I've penciled onto the "black pinline" layer of cloth. I then carefully cut away the excess cloth resulting in a stained glass effect. It is an extremely time consuming process, but the results are worth it.
